What it's like
Eagle, an enchanting municipality of approximately 30,000 residents, nestles to the northwest of Boise, near the foothills. It features spacious residences and expansive plots in close proximity to the capital city. Inhabitants relish outdoor pastimes such as golfing, cycling, hiking, and exploring Eagle Island State Park. The greenbelt cycling route forms a pleasant connection between Eagle and Boise. The heart of the city boasts a bygone ambiance, complete with the weekly eagle saturday market, diverse eateries, cozy cafes, unique boutiques, and delightful confectioneries. Growing residential areas on the city fringe offer an array of new build options, while the city center provides established homes set in mature gardens within a closely woven community.
Eagle truly represents an ideal place to establish roots.
The Census Bureau's 2020–2024 American Community Survey counts 13,550 homes inside Eagle city limits. Of those, 42.9% went up in 2010 or later, and the median year built is 2007. Detached houses account for 86.0% of the stock, and 84.1% of occupied homes are lived in by their owners.

Each of these came before the City Council for final plat review on the dates shown, unless noted otherwise. Coming before the Council is not the same as approval, and a plat is not yet a home for sale. Lots, prices and timelines come from each builder, so confirm them before you plan around a move-in date.
The City of Eagle's weekly permit report for July 27–31, 2026 lists new-home permits in Valnova Kirkhills, Valnova Subdivision No. 1, Torrente Secco, Everton, Millstone Farm, Terra View, Carrara Estates, Benari Estates and Avimor. Each of those subdivision names also appears in a 2026 City Council agenda.
